Divorce proceedings are filed under Section 13 of Hindu Marriage Act depending upon the reason you wish to take divorce. There are two types of divorce cases majorly one is contested and other one is mutual one. For more details you can contact me on 9811782573.

divorce proceedings are lengthy, but it depends on nature of case. It could end in 6 months (mutual divorce) or it could take 3 to 4 years to prove grounds of divorce. time duration could be shorten if court is convinced with the grounds. Rest for discussion you can contact me on 9958454480

mentioned in details

Since more than 30 years my parents have been married. in the early days there was huge abuse, domestic violence, extra marital affairs, loans from my dad side. he used to come home drunk and then abuse us all. my mom parents weren't supportive to take her back, so she had to live with this man. me and my brother have grown up seeing the abuse from my dad side. now my brother is earning good and he stays away from us for his job purpose. my dad has stopped coming home drunk I believe and he doesn't physically abuse my mom now BUT he has no ambition. me, my brother and mom wants to make our life better. my brother gives money to but stuff and all my dad does is watch TV during holidays. even the car we have now is given by my brother, he paid for the whole north India trip, fridge and what not! should I tell my mom to file for divorce or should I move out myself? It will take me time to move out because I am still a student. my dad is going to get retired next year and all he does is sleep and watch TV in these 30 years. if my mom files for divorce how much share she will get? I am above 22 btw. give some advice
