Copyright Registration


Getting a Copyright on your creative work enables you to exclusively use your intellectual property for commercial purposes and restricts others from using it without your permission. MyAdvo will file the application under the Copyright act, 1957 on your behalf through an expert intellectual property lawyer and provide regular updates to you.

Steps involved in filing of Copyright application

Once you send in a request, a questionnaire will be provided to you to record your details. A checklist of documents will also be provided to you.
Copy of Work
You will be required to send a copy of the work to us through email. If the work is large in size, you will be required to send a Compact Disc (CD) containing the work to us.
Authorization Letter
You will be required to send an authorization letter to us through courier.
Filing of Copyright Application
The Copyright lawyer will draft and file the application for registration of copyright along with fees.
After filing of the application, diary number, acknowledgment slip and copyright registration report will be shared with you.
We will provide regular updates to you until the registration process is complete.

Required Documents

  • Filled Questionnaire
  • Signed copy of authorization letter on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only)
  • A copy of work in Compact Disc (CD)
  • Scanned copy of identity Proof of the Applicant
  • Photocopy of either of the following documents will suffice: Passport, Voter ID card, Driving license, PAN card, Aadhar card)
  • No Objection Certificate(NOC) from author/publisher, if the applicant is not the author/publisher of the work
