Petition challenging the grant of the anticipatory bail of the Pintos, founder of the Ryan Group of Institutions has been filed by the the family of Pradyuman, a seven-year old boy who was found murdered on September 8 in the premises of Ryan International School. The bail to the pintos was granted by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Sushil Tekriwal, the lawyer of the Pradyuman’s father has further stated that they are challenging the manner in which the anticipatory bail has been granted to the Pintos by the court.
The ban granted to the Pinto family is also being opposed by the Pradyuman family through this petition. The anticipatory bail and the ban is challenged on the ground that the CBI in its reply has specifically stated that Pintos could be a part of larger conspiracy and can also be involved in the destruction of evidence.
The anticipatory bail was granted to them on 21st November by the Punjab and Haryana HC. The court also held that the Pinto family cannot go out of the country without permission and the court further said that they will be available for the investigation as and when their help is required.
