MyAdvo recently helped Riya (name changed) an air-hostess, in filing a complaint against Deepak Singh, a Fortis Hospital employee who, under pretense to marry her, entered into a live-in relationship with her and raped her. The accused fraudulently entered into a relationship with her with a promise to marry in near future.
Riya however, ended their relationship when she discovered that he is already married and even has a child. Maddened by rejection, Deepak, who coordinates with foreign patients in Fortis hospital, constantly harassed her with phone calls, emails, messages and even created a fake social media profile to malign her image, which cost Riya her job. Additionally, Deepak sent goons to threaten her, demanded money from her family and filed a recovery suit against her to harass her further.She tried to file a complaint against him, but no action was taken by the authorities on her grievance. Riya then contacted MyAdvo, who counseled her and her family. MyAdvo’s case manager helped her file a fresh complaint against the accused, on basis of which, the police have assured them that appropriate legal action will be taken against him. MyAdvo is also managing the recovery suit that Deepak filed against her by aggregating a lawyer to her.
Given the seriousness of this case, the Commissioner of Police has handed over the probe to ACP Dharana Yadav. Significantly, a complaint has also been filed with the Airport Police Station.
