Can I move out of the state with my kids without the father stopping me

The father hasn’t made contact in over a year, I’m planning on moving out of state next year can the father still stop me

Well .. it would be better if you could give more details.. If you already obtained a divorce , you can take the child as per the order. If not he may move court for custody of child.( age is not known to me). In any case you can keep the custody of child in or out side the state till he gets any order from court.

Can father get visiting rights without taking any responsibility of the child

Me and my husband are looking for a divorce as he is over alcoholic and chain smoker. He even use to physically abuse me and this had affected the little child mentally. He is saying that he will not pay any maintenance for the child but he needs the visiting rights. So is it possible for a father to get visiting rights without taking any responsibility of the child??
